"This hilltop temple is more than 1000 years old and has a mythological background of Lord Venkateswara Swamy and his two godesses Sri Devi and Bhudevi .Lord had come here for Vasanthavihara and took bath in 5 thirthas ( ponds ) of which at present only 1-2 are there . Hence this place got the name of Vasanthapura. Lord ordered Mandavya maharshi to worship him with two godesses in this temple . There are temples dedicated to Anjaneya , gramadevatha , Lord Shiva and other deities. A must place for all to visit . Kalyana utsava is performed here for Vallabharaya swamy ( Lord Venkateswara) with Sridevi and Bhoodevi to get all good benefits ."
