"The Sri Anjaneya Temple, situated in Banaswadi is a historic and revered temple dedicated to Lord Hanuman. With a history believed to span over 150 years, this temple serves as a prominent spiritual destination for devotees. The temple boasts a traditional Dravidian-style 'Gopuram,' a design often attributed to Kempegowda, the founder of Bengaluru. In addition to its primary sanctum dedicated to Lord Hanuman, the temple also houses shrines for Lord Rama, Lord Shiva, and Lord Ganesha, offering a holistic spiritual experience. One of the temple's distinctive features is the 4-foot-tall idol of Lord Hanuman, reportedly sculpted in Saligrama, a town in Karnataka. Devotees believe that on Hanuman Jayanti, the idol miraculously sheds tears—a phenomenon that draws countless worshippers seeking divine blessings. The temple is especially famous for its grand Hanuman Jayanti celebrations, which include a Rath Yatra (chariot procession) and elaborate rituals. Navaratri is another highlight, with the temple adorned in vibrant decorations and hosting special ceremonies that attract large crowds. This temple’s deep historical roots, unique idol, and spirited festivities make it a beloved and powerful place of worship. Many devotees come here to seek Lord Hanuman’s blessings, known for his strength, devotion, and ability to bestow protection and prosperity. I’ve been visiting the temple for over a decade now, as I reside in the neighbouring area. Being a devoted follower of Lord Hanuman, I can confidently say this temple is incredibly powerful. Every visit brings immense comfort and motivation, filling me with positivity. The temple is not only spiritually enriching but also extremely clean and well-maintained, which enhances the experience of devotion. Visiting on Saturdays or on auspicious days is particularly special. I encourage everyone to pray here with a sincere heart and full devotion—the blessings you seek will come to fruition with your efforts. A truly divine and uplifting place!"
