"Opening time differed from advertised time. Very strict dress code. No shorts or t-shirts. May be of interest to those familiar with the history of the temple but for newcomers nothing special."

"Shri Someshwara Swamy Temple in Bangalore, and it was a truly peaceful and uplifting experience. Located in Old Madiwala, there exists a divine sanctuary that holds a special place in my heart - the Someshwara Temple. Every single day, I find solace and spiritual rejuvenation within its sacred confines. However, my recent experience during the auspicious occasion of Shivaratri Mahotsav was nothing short of transcendent. Under the adept guidance of Priest Srikanta Kumar Dixit, the festivities unfolded with unparalleled grace and devotion. His meticulous execution of the Rudra Abhishekam left me awestruck, each ritual performed with utmost reverence and precision. Moreover, his unwavering dedication to the preparations ensured that every aspect of the ceremony was conducted flawlessly. As the night descended, the atmosphere became infused with a divine energy, culminating in the enchanting Radhoshtavam. The melodic chants and rhythmic offerings filled the air, captivating all those in attendance. For those seeking a profound spiritual encounter, I wholeheartedly recommend a visit to this Someshwara Temple. Truly, a gem amongst the plethora of Shiva temples in Bengaluru."

"Timings are different from the ones put on the board. Though the board says the temple is open from 6pm in the evening, that is almost never the case except on special days. Even at 6:30pm there is no sign of anyone and the devotees have to wait outside until someone opens the doors. Loud songs/chants are played disrupting the peace and quiet inside the temple. If not for this, it would be an ideal ambiance for quiet meditation."
